Privacy Policy

Picksy ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Picksy mobile application (the "App"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

Information from Sign-In Providers

When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive and store:

Your email address
A unique identifier from the sign-in provider

We do not receive or store your legal name, profile photo, or password.

Information You Provide

Username — a public handle you choose at registration (3–20 characters)

Information Generated by Your Use

Picks — the A or B choice you select on each question
Friend connections — users you have added and who have accepted your request
Account activity — timestamps of account creation and activity

Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect your location, contacts, device identifiers, advertising IDs, or any biometric data. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.

2. How We Use Your Information

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.

3. How Your Information Is Shared

We share data only with the service providers necessary to operate the App:

Supabase — our backend database and authentication provider. Your account data, picks, and friendships are stored on Supabase infrastructure. Supabase Privacy Policy
RevenueCat — processes and manages in-app subscription state. RevenueCat receives a pseudonymous customer ID and your subscription entitlement status. RevenueCat Privacy Policy
Apple / Google — handle the OAuth sign-in flow on your device. We do not control the data they collect during sign-in.

We do not share your data with any other third parties, advertisers, or data brokers.

4. Public and Social Visibility

Aggregated results (e.g. "64% chose A") are visible to all users and are not linked to your identity.
Your individual picks are visible only to users you have accepted as friends.
Your username is publicly searchable within the App so others can send you friend requests.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we permanently delete your profile, all picks, and all friend connections from our systems. This action is irreversible.

To delete your account, go to Profile → Delete Account in the App.

6. Children's Privacy

Picksy is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Data Security

We use HTTPS for all data in transit. Your authentication is handled via industry-standard OAuth 2.0 through Supabase. We do not store passwords.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below. Account deletion is available directly in the App.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
